Camilla George is a London based saxophone player, improviser, composer and teacher.
Originally from Nigeria, Camilla George is one of the hottest prospects on the London jazz scene, having graduated with a Masters degree in Jazz from Trinity College.
Having worked with Tomorrows Warriors and Jazz Jamaica and been championed by Courtney Pine, her African and Caribbean influences shine through in her playing particularly with her excellent quartet featuring the highly regarded Daniel Casimir (bass) and Al McSweeney (piano) alongside one of the UK's best loved drummers, Winston Clifford.
This will be a uniquely lyrical and happy way to spend a summer afternoon in the beautiful Newport Methodist Church.
